Dev Log #11 | Jesters, Foods, and Hall Monitors: V0.04


Hungry? Good. You are now able to bring food with you on fieldtrips to the Tower. Since the Tower now know you are bringing food, it has the shop start selling meals that will help you. Two new enemies have appeared! The Tower has sent out its monitor to make sure everything is running smoothly. Jesters have appeared to give you a fun time. Watch out, they can sling spells much like you.

added a new boss: Jester

    Spawns in the Urban and Dungeon Dungeon types

    Reward tier: 2

    No Level Requirement

    Base health: 65

    Base Mana: 30

    Weapons: pan, dagger, or armored knuckles

    armor: All Cotton pieces

    Able to cast spells

    - Jester's Hand: Throw Magic cards dealing 2-10 after 1 turn at the cost of 5 MP

    - Jester's privilege: Mocks the player causing reduce chance to hit next turn at the cost of 10 MP

    - jester's panic: The Jester Start to panic and receives +5 MP

    Alternative Version: Undead Jester

        Spawns in the Crypt and Dungeon dungeon types

        Reward Tier: 3

        Level Requirement: 2

        Base Health: 60

        Base Mana 30

        Special: Undead Rejuvenate

Added a New Common Enemy: Tower Monitor

    Spawns in all Dungeon types

    Reward Tier: 2

    No Level Requirement

    Base Health: 60

    Base Mana: 115

    weapons: unarmed

    armor: No Armor

    can only cast spells:

    - Aether Push: Pushes the player with a wall of aether causing them to lose focus next turn at the cost of 10 MP

    - Aether Slash: Slashes the player with a summoned sword causing 5 or 10% of Player's max health, whichever is greater, at the cost of 10 MP

    -- The Health Percentage is affected with magic resistance but, the flat value isn't.

    - Minor Heal: Heals for 5 HP at the cost of 5 MP

    - Aeather Shield: Summons a shield that increase Opponent's Block Power to 50% for 2 turns at the cost of 15 MP

    -- Block Power determines how effective blocking physical attacks are.

    Special: Tower's Recall

    - Once the Tower Monitor Uses all mana from spells, it will take 2 turn to teleport away, ending combat.

Added Food into the game

- the Player is able to select which ration they have in the inn

-- selecting the ration will give it priority over other rations

-- The Player can use rations once every turn with a 3 turn cooldown

-- The Rations are as Followed:

--- Bread: 6% Healing

--- Apple: 5 Mana for 2 turns

--- Jerky: Remove 1 negative status

--- cheese cube: 25% increase to magic damage for that turn

- The Dungeon Shop sells meals that gives the player boosts

-- The Player can only buy it once per dungeon and it costs 90% of total coins or 10 coins, whichever is greater.

-- Boosts are as followed:

--- Stew: 15% Instant XP

--- Sandwich: Full Health Recovery

--- Apple Pie: Full Mana Recovery

There are now 3 types of bonus damage:

- Physical: affects weapons, throwables, and physical damage of some spells

- Magic: affects Magic damage

- True: affects all damage

   

~~~ bug and general fixes ~~~

- Only the Dungeon Shop spawning in main path

- weapon saying "You have unequipped [equipped weapon]" when the player equips another weapon

- fixed issue with having an empty utility slot

- fixed issue with Church saying -<null> coins

-- in turn fixed the issue with selecting said option and having <null> on your coin purse

- removed the random "," at the end of the bank number

- Fixed issues with carried items not being added into dungeon's inv.

- fixed bonus damage not affecting Throwables and the Physical damage of some spell
